Movies

It's been a while since I have paid much attention to writing any posts. College doesn't give me much time to things of these sorts, but after being here for a semester, things have reached a point where I can return to the Blogger life. One thing I have spent a lot of my time doing at college though is watching many many movies. I love movies, but usually find reasons not to watch them. Also, seeing the new craze that is sweeping across Greg's blog I have decided to welcome everyone back with a rip-off of my own.

I want to know your Top 10 movies. Movies you watched and were immediatly taken in by, and those ones that you always go back to and watch over and over again. Leave them in the comment box.

I am working on this and have decided on the first two so I will let you know those now.
1. Ben Hur-Charlton Heston in the chariot races is a great scene. Too bad he went nuts with the NRA.
2. Funny Girl-can't get much better than Streisand.
The other 8 will follow soon.

Matt knows I have some issues with some of his movies. Most notably Election. God, how I dislike that movie.

mark,

but i do know that pleasantville, wonder boys, and almost famous are movies you really like. And if I remember right, you are also a finding nemo fan.

i was disappointed that greg excluded the truman show from his list. and yes, greg, i think you forgot "man on the moon."

the one movie I dislike(well, don't care for) that mark really like is "Eternal Sunshine."

I thought you forgot about this blog.

My top ten, in no particular order:

-Say Anything: Classic Cusack

-The Spanish Apartment: The fact that it's in five different languages amazes and amuses me.

-Amelie: Great storyline, fantastic writing, and cinematography.

-Dead Poet's Society: One of the movies that inspired me to become an english major.

-Brick: Noir. Enough said.

-The Royal Tenenbaums: the scene with Luke Wilson in the bathroom, with "needle in the hay" in the background is genius.

-Little Miss Sunshine: Carrell at his finest.

-Rushmore: I never stop laughing. And I love Wes Anderson films.

-Love Actually: A holiday film that I can watch anytime of the year.

-10 Things I Hate About You: A lame, 90's movie that never gets old in my opinion. Also, it amazes me that in a span of seven years, Heath Ledger went from high school hearthrob to gay cowboy.

Shew.
